Work With Us

CASUAL TEACHING ARTISTS

We love to hear from experienced and reliable drama teaching artists who are interested in working with us – our door is always open!

We are especially interested in hearing from diverse Teaching Artists – including those identifying as CALD, BIPOC, LGBTIQ+, and those with a disability. We believe our teaching artists should reflect the diversity of our young people.

Trained drama teachers and actors with experience teaching young people may apply. We are seeking artists with specific experience to teach age ranges from 5-7, 7-9, 9-12 and 12 – 18 year olds. Teaching artists must be able to facilitate devised and scripted work and create their own program for a class.

Classes are held in Killara, St Ives, Turramurra, and Hornsby, as well as in a number of in-school drama locations across the Upper North Shore. Weekly classes run for 1–2 hours, and reliability and commitment to the half-yearly program are essential. Opportunities to teach more than one class per week may be available.

Holiday workshops are held during each school break and are allocated to tutors based on their availability and skill set.

Applicants must have a current Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate. Rate of pay and further details will be emailed through on request.

Please apply with:

1) Resume

2) At least two references

3) Cover letter

4) Your first aid certificate

Please address the information to Jessie Lancaster (Creative Learning Manager) and send it to info@mstyp.org.au
