MARIAN ST THEATRE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Empowering Young People

We believe participation in the creative arts transforms lives and equips young people with the confidence, creativity and communication skills they will need for the 21st Century.

Nate Gilkes – Artistic Director

Why Stories?

How will theatre, and all live performance, stand up in a global century, in a digital future? Young people will have a lot to say on that.

We spend so much of our time, and rightly so, thinking about finance, the economy, the state of the world. But a story has the power to go beyond that, to imagine a kind of world we aspire to, to think about how we relate to each other and to think in another’s shoes. A story speaks to our better angels. When you tell a story you’re listening as other have done since human kind began.
