Why MSTYP?

Helping young people grow in confidence and creativity for over fifty years

    • We are not-for-profit: Our proceeds go into to the community.
    • Community is key: We have been part of the North Shore Community for over 50 Years.
    • Our teaching artists are qualified and work in the industry: All our drama tutors are qualified with a bachelor’s degree or higher and are well connected with the wider artistic community.
    • Everyone belongs: We welcome individuals from non-English speaking and culturally diverse backgrounds, those with a disability and our rainbow families to join our creative community.
    • We are both a drama school and theatre company: We offer drama classes as well as professional performances to give back to the wider community.
    • We promote new voices: We are dedicated to elevating fresh and diverse voices through our residency initiatives, artists, and productions.
    • We produce new work: We are committed to producing new works by emerging artists.
    • We offer affordable options: We often do discounts for multiple family members joining as well as for those enrolled in more than one class.
    • We are a Creative Kids Provider: Use your $100 Creative Kids Vouchers on any of our classes or workshops.

MSTYP acknowledges the Traditional Owners, the Gayamaygal, Garigal and the Wallamedegal and their Country on which we operate. We show our respect to all Aboriginal people. We acknowledge their Elders in the past and in the present, and acknowledge the spirits and ancestors of those that lived in our area.
