Weekly Classes

Term 4 enrolments are now ready to be filled up!

Join us to create another End of Year Christmas Showcase together!

Dive into our Drama classes in Term 4 and be part of the MSTYP Christmas Show! Through script work, themed drama games, and acting coaching activities, your child will create a scene to be performed as part of our annual MSTYP End of Year Showcase. Your child will have the opportunity not only to immerse themselves in drama but also to build confidence in stepping on stage and performing for an audience.

We continue to offer classes for students from Kindergarten to Year 12, from beginners to advanced performers, as well as our MSTYP Performance Ensemble and Accessible Drama 18+ program for people living with an intellectual disability.

Classes run for 1-2 hours, depending on age group and venue availability, and are taught in small groups by industry professionals. With over 50 years of experience nurturing young performers, this is your chance to learn from the best.

Our classes are held in Killara, Turramurra, St Ives, Asquith, and Hornsby, with additional in-school programs at OLPS West Pymble and Highfields Lindfield.

“Enrolling in drama class at MSTYP was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my son. Under the guidance of the incredibly talented instructor, he has not only honed his acting skills but also gained confidence both on and off the stage. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed, striking a perfect balance between theory and practical exercises, allowing exploration of various acting techniques and styles.”

About Drama

What You Learn

What You Learn

MSTYP’s Teaching Artists balance teaching drama and acting skills with artistic exploration and creativity.

Drama combines body, voice, story and space. It builds confidencecreative thinking and helps young people create friendships.

We ask young people to think artistically, critically and creatively, and use theatre as an interpretative lens in their roles as active global citizens.

Opportunities Beyond Classes

Opportunities Beyond Classes

We want to give students as many opportunities as possible – to perform in shows, have careers in the arts, to be a part of the MSTYP community, develop a life-long love for theatre, and make friends for life.

Our graduates can be found throughout theatre companies and creative industries in Australia and internationally. They include TV and film, ATYP, Belvoir, Bell Shakespeare, Sport for Jove, performers/actors, playwrights/writers and many more!
