Tim Dashwood

Tim is a professional actor and Fight Director throughout Australia. For over 15 years he has trained under his mentor Nigel Poulton in many forms of movement and regularly directs fights, teaches and assists for theatre companies across Australia. As a teacher, he works for shake & stir theatre co., NIDA Open Program, ACA and independent schools and companies.
As an actor, Tim has performed for state theatre companies, independent theatre companies and profit share productions. Notable credits include: Fantastic Mr Fox, George’s Marvelous Medicine, Dracula, Wuthering Heights and Animal Farm (shake & stir theatre co.) Richard III, Othello (Bell Shakespeare) Deathtrap (Darlinghurst Theatre Company) The Graduate (Kay & MacLean Productions) FAME: The Musical (GFO Organisation) The Odd Couple, Macbeth, Managing Carmen, Romeo & Juliet, Rabbithole, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Exception & The Rule (Queensland Theatre Company) and The Last 5 Years (Ignatians).
Tim teaches, assists and fight directs for companies including: Sydney Theatre Company, Opera Australia, shake & stir theatre co., Sport for Jove, Red Line Theatre Company, NIDA Open Program, Stage Combat Perth and Bell Shakespeare as well as running independent workshops. Notable productions as Fight Director include: No Pay? No Way!, Lord of the Flies (Sydney Theatre Company) Whiteley, Faust, West Side Story – HOSH (Opera Australia) Cyprus Avenue (Empress Theatre), Fantastic Mr. Fox (shake & stir theatre co.), Rose Riot, A Servant of Two Masters (Sport for Jove), Macbeth (NSW Public Schools Drama Company), and Fallen (SheSaid Theatre & Sport for Jove). Tim is the President of The Society of Australian Fight Directors inc. and is a proud member of the Media and Entertainment Arts Alliance.
